Japanese citizen Misao Okawa, the
world’s oldest
person, is celebrating her 116th birthday.
She was recognized as the oldest person in
the world by the Guinness Book of Records in June, 2013. Misao Okawa
got this title after the death of another Japanese citizen Jiroemon Kimura at
the age of 117, who had been holding the title of the world’s oldest person.
