Low-cost carrier SpiceJet appointed
R.Neelakantan as
its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on 4 March 2014. He will replace Sam Isaac.
He
was serving as the Head of Internal Audit for the Sun Group. Earlier,
Neelakantan had served as SpiceJet’s CFO from November 2010 to February 2013. The
return of R. Neelakantan to SpiceJet is part of a well-thought out succession
plan.
About Spicejet
SpiceJet is an Indian low-cost airline owned
by the Sun Group of India. It has its registered office in Chennai, Tamil Nadu,
and a corporate office in Gurgaon, Haryana. It began service in May 2005. By
2012, it was India’s third largest
airline in terms of market share, ahead of Air India, Kingfisher Airlines, and GoAir.
